Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Performance
  • Monitor sales, conversion rate, average transaction value, units per transaction and product sell-through.
  • Set store targets and follow up on performance gaps.
  • Analyse sales trends by store, product category and staff member.
  • Develop action plans to improve underperforming stores.
  • Ensure promotions, campaigns and pricing are implemented correctly.
Store operations
  • Conduct regular store visits and operational audits.
  • Ensure stores follow company SOPs, opening and closing procedures, cash-handling rules and security requirements.
  • Monitor store cleanliness, maintenance, merchandising and overall customer experience.
  • Coordinate repairs, maintenance issues and mall-management requirements.
  • Ensure store licences, permits and operational documents are up to date.
Staff management
  • Supervise Store Managers, supervisors, full-time staff and part-time staff.
  • Review manpower requirements, staff schedules, attendance and overtime.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and training.
  • Coach store teams on sales techniques, product knowledge and customer service.
  • Conduct performance reviews and manage disciplinary or conduct issues.
  • Develop potential team members for future supervisory or management roles.
Inventory and stock control
  • Monitor stock levels, sell-through, stock cover, slow-moving products and replenishment needs.
  • Coordinate stock transfers between stores.
  • Ensure stock counts and cycle counts are completed accurately.
  • Investigate stock discrepancies, damages, shrinkage and losses.
  • Ensure new arrivals and promotional stocks are received and displayed on time.
Visual merchandising
  • Ensure each store follows visual-merchandising guidelines and campaign layouts.
  • Check displays, mannequins, signage, pricing and promotional materials.
  • Work with the merchandising or marketing team to resolve presentation issues.
  • Ensure brand standards remain consistent across all stores.
Customer service
  • Ensure stores maintain the required customer-service standards.
  • Support Store Managers in handling escalated complaints, refunds and exchanges.
  • Review customer feedback and identify recurring issues.
  • Implement corrective actions to improve customer satisfaction.
Reporting and communication
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales and operational reports.
  • Report store performance, manpower issues, stock concerns and competitor activity to management.
  • Communicate company updates, promotions and operational instructions to all stores.
  • Follow up with Store Managers to ensure agreed action items are completed.
Compliance and loss prevention
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment requirements, mall rules and safety procedures.
  • Monitor cash shortages, stock losses, suspected theft and fraudulent transactions.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend preventive measures.
  • Ensure stores are prepared for internal and external audits.

New store openings and special projects
  • Support new store openings, relocations, renovations and closures.
  • Coordinate manpower, stock, fixtures, systems and operational readiness.
  • Support workshops, events, seasonal campaigns and other retail projects.
