Role Description
- We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Executive (ASE) to manage General Trade (GT) distributors and drive sales growth within the assigned territory. The role is responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding distribution, ensuring strong market execution, and building sustainable relationships with distributors and retailers.
- The ideal candidate should possess strong FMCG sales experience, distributor management capability, and a good understanding of GT market operations.
Job Responsibilities
Distributor Management
- Manage and develop assigned GT distributors to achieve company sales objectives.
- Monitor distributor sales performance, stock holding, and market coverage.
- Conduct regular business reviews with distributors.
- Ensure proper execution of company sales and trade programs.
- Monitor distributor operational efficiency and manpower productivity.
- Ensure healthy stock management and minimize aging stocks.
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Drive sales growth and improve market share within assigned territory.
- Ensure agreed sales-in plans are executed effectively with proper sales-out activities.
- Identify business opportunities and potential outlets for expansion.
- Drive focus SKU distribution and sales penetration.
Market Execution
- Conduct regular market visits and joint field work with distributor sales team.
- Ensure visibility, merchandising, pricing, and promotion execution in the market.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and trade movements.
- Ensure strong retail execution and outlet coverage.
Distribution Expansion
- Expand numeric and weighted distribution.
- Increase active outlet base within assigned territory.
- Strengthen presence in wholesalers, mini markets, and provision stores.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare sales reports, market intelligence, and business analysis.
- Monitor sales trend, stock movement, and trade activities.
- Provide accurate sales forecast and market feedback.
- Ensure timely submission of reports and business updates.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years experience in FMCG sales environment.
- Experience in General Trade (GT) and distributor management is preferred.
- Strong understanding of GT market operations and route-to-market execution.
