Job Description

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales performance and market growth within an assigned territory. The role focuses on achieving sales targets through strong customer relationship management, effective brand visibility, and execution of strategic sales initiatives. Working closely with GYAC direct retailers, end customers, and the Direct Manager Sales, the Area Sales Manager ensures timely and accurate processing of sales orders, tire supply coordination, and shipments from the Shah Alam warehouse to customers, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

Sales & Revenue Generation:

  • You will achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • You will drive volume and revenue growth by actively engaging with customers and promoting company products.
  • You will identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base.

Account Management

  • You will build and maintain strong relationships with GYAC direct retailers and other channel partners.
  • You will ensure timely resolution of customer queries and complaints to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • You will monitor and analyze customer buying patterns and provide insights to support business planning.

Market Development & Visibility

  • You will implement trade marketing and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and awareness.
  • You will conduct regular visits to retail outlets and GYACs to ensure merchandising standards are met.
  • You will identify, monitor, and report competitor activities within the market.

Planning & Reporting

  • You will develop and execute territory sales plans aligned with overall business objectives.
  • You will submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, including performance against KPIs.
  • You will track sales performance and ensure compliance with pricing, discount, and credit policies.

Team Collaboration

  • You will work closely with the Direct Sales Manager and cross-functional team members to achieve organizational goals.
  • You will provide field feedback to support the development and refinement of sales and marketing strategies.

What We're Looking For

  • You hold a Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or Marketing.
  • You have a minimum of 35 years of working experience in the customer service field, including handling customer enquiries and complaints in a related industry.
  • You possess strong key account management and selling skills.
  • You demonstrate strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • You have strong communication skills and are able to speak local dialects.
  • You are proficient in MS Office applications.
