You will curate, develop, and bring to life a distinctive art and cultural narrative across Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur, enhancing the guest journey through immersive, curated, and highly personalized art experiences aligned with the brand's ultra-luxury positioning. As an
Art & Culture Ambassador, – you're spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Responsibilities
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
Art Curation & Storytelling
- Develop and maintain a cohesive art, design, and accessories narrative across all hotel spaces (public areas, suites, restaurants).
- Curate rotating art exhibitions featuring local and international artists.
- Ensure alignment between architecture, interior design, and art storytelling.
Guest Experience & Programming
- Design and deliver immersive art experiences for guests (private tours, artist meet-and-greets, curated journeys).
- Create in-suite art experiences for premium suites (bespoke installations, collector pieces, storytelling cards).
- Elevate arrival rituals and Peacock Alley experience through art.
Events & Activations
- Conceptualize and execute signature art and luxury events (launches, private dinners, exhibitions, collaborations).
- Support C&E, weddings, and VIP events with artistic direction and curation.
- Develop outside catering art concepts to extend WA brand experience beyond the hotel.
Partnerships & Networking
- Build and maintain relationships with:
- Art galleries
- Collectors
- Artists
- Luxury brands
- Leverage existing UHNW and luxury networks
Brand & Positioning
- Position WA KL as a cultural and artistic hub in Kuala Lumpur.
- Collaborate with Marketing & PR on:
- Content creation
- Media storytelling
- Influencer / KOL engagement
Commercial Contribution
- Support art sales, commissions, and partnerships
- Drive incremental revenue via:
- Private events
- Brand collaborations
- Art-related experiences

In Addition, This Role Requires The Following Minimum Qualifications
- Strong experience in art curation, gallery management, or cultural programming
- Proven exposure to luxury clientele and UHNW networks
- Background in events, partnerships, and brand collaborations
- Strong aesthetic sense (fashion/modeling exposure is a plus)
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills
