Description
We are seeking an experienced AS 400 COBOL Developer to join our team in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have 4-10 years of experience in COBOL programming, specifically in an AS 400 environment, to support our ongoing projects and enhance our software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain AS 400 COBOL applications.
- Analyze user requirements and design appropriate solutions.
- Debug and troubleshoot existing COBOL programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software compatibility and performance.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in AS 400 COBOL programming.
- Strong understanding of database management systems, especially DB2.
- Experience with RPG programming is a plus.
- Ability to write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
- Familiarity with system integration and data migration processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
