Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Developer with strong experience in AS400 (IBM i) environment and proficiency in COBOL and/or RPG programming. The role involves supporting and enhancing core banking, payment, and ATM systems, including both development and production support (L2/L3) activities.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with DB2 databases, system integration, and batch/real-time transaction processing. Familiarity with banking/payment systems, such as SWIFT, RTGS, GIRO, FAST, and other financial transaction platforms, is highly desirable.

The role also requires experience with deployment and release management tools (e.g., ALDON) and basic understanding of DevOps practices, including automation, CI/CD, and incident management in production environments.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work in a high-pressure financial services environment. Exposure to core banking systems, middleware/EAI architecture, and financial domain workflows will be an added advantage.

• Strong experience in COBOL and/or RPG programming (COBOL 400 experience is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with AS400 (IBM i) systems.
• Strong knowledge of DB2 database.
• Experience in production support (L2/L3) and incident troubleshooting.
• Experience in core banking, ATM, payment, or remittance systems.
• Understanding of transaction processing (real-time and batch).
• Experience with system integration (SFTP, MQ, Direct Connect, EAI/Channels).
• Familiarity with financial messaging and payment systems (e.g., SWIFT, RTGS, GIRO, FAST, PayNow).
• Experience in batch job processing and job scheduling on AS400.
• Hands-on experience with ALDON deployment tool / release management automation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD, automation, deployment pipelines).
• Experience working in production or high-pressure banking/financial environments.

Work Experience:

• 3-5 relevant years of experience working as a developer.
• Understanding of development processes.
