AS400 Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements.
• Work independently and serve as a subject matter expert for AS/400 COBOL 400.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
• Implement best practices in coding, application design, and performance optimization.
• Conduct comprehensive testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Actively participate and contribute to team discussions, providing effective solutions to work-related challenges.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve application development processes.
• Provide training, knowledge sharing, and support to team members and stakeholders on application functionalities.

Requirements:

• 4 6 years of hands-on experience in AS/400 COBOL 400 programming.
• Strong understanding of application development lifecycle, coding standards, and performance tuning.
• Beginner proficiency in Cross Border Payments.
• Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and debugging practices.
• Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
