Role Summary

Responsible for technical and commercial management of all operating assets including Handover-Takeover from Project delivery. Execute and manage all contractors and service providers for operations, maintenance, SCADA, monitoring system and sale of power. Preparation of budget and reporting of technical and commercial performance. Responsible for land lease management, value creation initiatives and ensuring WHSE standards compliance with BLE policy and procedures by the contractors at site.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Oversee the performance and optimization of the assets ensuring maximum efficiency and profitability to achieve or exceed generation and revenue targets.
  • Ensure adherence to Blueleaf Energy WHSEQ policies of operational plants and contractor's (O&M, LTSA, etc.), service providers working for Blueleaf Energy. Provide inputs for local SCADA implementation including review of architecture, hardware, mimic diagrams, HMI etc during EPC stage and support during commissioning and troubleshooting & maintenance during the operational stage.
  • Coordinate daily operations of assets with Competent Engineer, Chargemen, O&M Contractor and in-house team, including monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing maintenance protocols.
  • Ensure daily schedule submissions to TNB/GSO on time, accurately and ensure Project deliverables are aligned with schedules. Set up daily SOPs to ensure minimum or zero TNB/GSO penalties.
  • Provide technical support and manage detailed calculations of KPIs for assets to track the technical plant performance against the guaranteed parameters by the contractor.
  • Monitor asset performance, technical KPIs and identifying any deviations (gap analysis) from expected performance levels for assets and implementing corrective actions proactively. Undertake detailed BESS KPI calculations (RTE, Capacity, Availability, etc.) to determine responsible party in case of deficiency in KPIs.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with asset management, proactively addressing potential issues to safeguard investments and support the implementation of new asset management policies and procedures, continuously improving efficiency and compliance standards.
  • Undertake periodic asset site visits during commissioning and operational phase for coordinating and supervising regular inspections, preventive maintenance, end of warranty inspections to ensure the smooth operation of assets, maximizing energy production and minimizing downtime.
  • Perform technical due diligence for acquisition of new assets and provide technical assessment reports to the stakeholders.
  • Support for Permits, Contractual compliances (PPA, EPC, O&M, lenders, etc.)
  • Energy production, and maintenance activities to generate management reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage monthly energy billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in invoicing clients and ensure payments to contractors and land leases as per the agreed contract timelines along with proper supporting documentation
  • Monthly reporting to Management
  • Support for lender reporting & other related management.
  • Managing operational insurances, timely annual renewals and provide support for any insurance claims along with the inhouse site team and O&M contractors.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years experience working in Asset Management of utility-scale projects in solar and battery with a focus on optimizing asset performance and profitability.
  • Proficiency in software systems such as ERP software, CMMS Software & Monitoring and Asset Management Software.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy systems, contract management, performance metrics, balancing and wholesale markets, regulatory and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Critical eye for all Regulatory, PPA and Contractual compliances and WHSE standards and ensure 100% compliance.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on accuracy and precision and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid or remote environment, demonstrating initiative and self-motivation.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced expertise in MS Office 365 (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.)
