Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Account Manager role based in Petaling Jaya. The Assistant Account Manager will support senior account managers in managing client relationships, coordinating project deliverables, and ensuring timely follow-up on client requests. Responsibilities include preparing proposals and quotations, tracking project progress, maintaining accurate documentation, and assisting with reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. The role involves collaborating with technical teams to understand solution offerings, communicating updates to clients, and helping to resolve issues and escalations. The Assistant Account Manager will also contribute to account planning activities, basic market research, and administrative tasks related to contract management and billing.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong client service and relationship management skills, including clear communication, responsiveness, and the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • Candidates should possess organizational, coordination, and time management skills to manage multiple accounts, track deliverables, and meet deadlines.
  • Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, including basic data interpretation, attention to detail, and the ability to support issue resolution.
  • Candidates should possess teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with sales, technical, and project teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates should possess business and commercial awareness, including understanding of contracts, pricing, and the fundamentals of ICT or technology-related services.
  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with proficiency in office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software).
  • Prior experience in account management, sales support, or customer service in the ICT or technology sector is an advantage, as is proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
