Assistant Architect

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Architect to join our talented team at M.E.I. Architects & Engineers Sdn Bhd in George Town, Penang. This full-time role will provide you the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting architectural projects, collaborating closely with our experienced design professionals.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting senior architects in the design and development of architectural plans and drawings
• Conducting site visits and evaluating existing structures to gather necessary information for design proposals
• Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards
• Staying up-to-date with the latest architectural trends, technologies, and building regulations
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our design processes and workflows

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in an architectural design or consultancy role
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design software
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
• Passion for architecture and a keen eye for design
