Role Description The Assistant Branch Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Petaling Jaya, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. This role supports branch leadership in driving sales performance, managing daily branch operations, and ensuring excellent customer service across assigned territories and channels. The Assistant Branch Manager coordinates with sales teams, distributors, and internal stakeholders to implement promotional activities, monitor inventory and merchandising standards, and ensure compliance with company policies. The role involves tracking branch KPIs, preparing performance reports, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting execution of strategic initiatives aligned with Kao Malaysia's brand and business objectives. Qualifications
Strong sales and branch operations skills, including experience in retail or FMCG environments and familiarity with distributor or channel management.
Ability to analyze data and performance metrics, prepare reports, and use insights to drive decisions and improve branch results.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams, distributors, and customers, and for guiding and supporting team members.
Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple initiatives, and maintain attention to detail.
Competence in basic office software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and willingness to learn company systems and tools.
Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience in sales or branch management may also be considered.
Comfort working in a hybrid arrangement based in Petaling Jaya, with flexibility to travel to branch locations, customers, or distributors as needed.
Knowledge of the FMCG, health and beauty, or household care sector in Malaysia is an advantage, along with an interest in Kao's Kirei Life philosophy
