Job Summary
- Experienced Construction / Site Manager with a strong background in site operation and supervision, including warehouse and factory construction, infrastructure, maintenance, and improvement projects. This role requires proven experience in planning, executing, and supervising large scale construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and timely completion. Strong leadership, coordination with stakeholders, and ability to manage multiple teams and contractors are essential. This role also requires to ensures that project will be executed according to project schedule, within budget, and to the required quality.
Job Responsibilities Description
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and main contractors to coordinate site activities and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Lead and communicate work plan to contractors and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and schedule.
- Oversee workmanship and enforce quality control standards to ensure all works meet required specifications.
- Oversee the entire construction process, from project initiation to completion and monitor site progress to achieve project milestones.
- Monitor the construction budget and expenses, in order to ensure project complete within budget.
- Coordinate and lead site meetings, review contractor's progress reports, review and verify contractor's claims and support project decision-making.
- Ensure that the contractors carry out their work in compliance with the Building Control Act and Regulations, Codes of Practices, and requirements of building authorities and government agencies.
- Accountable for the quality, safety, health and environmental management and performance at the workplace and project site.
- Highlight and report any disputes, risks, or critical issues to the Project Team and Head Office promptly.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation for the project.
- Require to work night shift when required.
Person Specifications Education & Qualification
- Diploma in Project Management / Civil Engineering or any related field
Relevant Experience & Years of Service
- Experience in site-based consulting role (warehouse and factory)
- Minimum 6 years of working experience in same capacity
Technical Skills, Professional Knowledge & Competencies
- Microsoft Office
- AutoCAD
- Proficient in English and Malay
- Well versed in Malaysian and local building laws, regulations and by laws
- Independent, committed, reliable, proactive and good interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications
