ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Costing Manager to support the development of project target costs based on feasibility studies and schematic designs. The successful candidate will assist in reviewing pre-tender estimates, pricing schedules, designs, and contracts while collaborating closely with project management teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in developing and managing project target costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the review and validation of pre-tender estimates, schedules of prices, and contracts.
- Collaborate with on-site project management to evaluate progress payments and assist in assessing variation orders.
- Aid in dynamic cost management and help facilitate final account settlements and reporting.
- Prepare project cost management summaries and contribute to establishing a cost index.
- Learn about the company's technical cost index and support value engineering proposals based on executed projects.
- Stay updated on advancements in data center technology and analyze their impact on construction costs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related study.
- 3-5 years of cost management experience, preferably in data center projects, large commercial real estate projects, or within MEP Quantity Surveying consultancy and contracting firms.
- Experience in providing cost management services for data centers is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively within integrated team environments.
- Honest and trustworthy individual with a strong sense of professional ethics and team spirit.
