JOB DESCRIPTION
1.Operations & Availability
• Assist in overseeing daily data center operations to ensure maximum uptime and operational resilience.
• Support incident response activities, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-incident reporting.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.
• Monitor data center capacity (power, cooling, rack space) and support capacity planning and scalability initiatives.
• Escalate operational issues to the Data Center Manager and support resolution effort
2.Infrastructure Management
• Assist in supervising critical infrastructure, including UPS, generators, HVAC, fire suppression systems, and structured cabling.
• Coordinate and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure timely completion.
• Support hardware lifecycle management for servers, storage, and networking equipment.
• Coordinate equipment installations, migrations, upgrades, and decommissioning activities.
3. Team Leadership
• Support the Data Center Manager in supervising operations engineers and technicians.
• Assist with shift scheduling to ensure adequate 24/7 operational coverage where applicable.
• Coach and mentor junior team members while promoting adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), emergency response procedures, and safety protocols.
• Monitor team performance and provide operational guidance during daily activities.
4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
• Assist in managing vendor contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with facilities providers, OEMs, and service partners.
• Coordinate with internal IT, Security, Network, and Facilities teams to support operational requirements.
• Monitor third-party access and ensure compliance with site access policies and operational procedures.
5. Compliance & Security
• Support compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and Uptime Institute Tier Standards.
• Assist in maintaining physical security controls, including access control systems, CCTV, and audit requirements.
• Participate in operational risk assessments and support implementation of operational controls and corrective actions.

Financial & Capacity Planning
• Assist in monitoring operational budgets (OPEX/CAPEX) and expenditure.
• Support forecasting of resource utilization, infrastructure capacity, and expansion requirements.
• Assist in energy optimization initiatives, including Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) improvements and sustainability programs.
JOB REQUIREMENT
1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. 3–7 years of experience in data center operations, critical facilities, or infrastructure management.
3. Experience supporting operations in mission-critical environments.
4. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
5. Familiarity with Tier III/IV data center standards and high-availability architecture.
6. Good understanding of:
• Power systems (UPS, generators)
• Cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH, liquid cooling)
• Networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, structured cabling)
• Monitoring platforms (DCIM, BMS, NMS)
• Incident management and change management processes
7. Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
8. Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and support crisis management activities.
9. Ability to work in a controlled data center environment, including exposure to equipment noise and temperature variations.
10. Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to critical operational incidents when required.
