Assistant Director of Engineering - Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur

As the Assistant Director of Engineering, you will support the efficient and effective operation of the Engineering Department in line with Hyatt's corporate strategies and brand standards, while meeting the expectations of our associates, guests, and owners.

Working closely with the Director of Engineering, you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day engineering operations of the hotel, ensuring that all facilities, equipment, buildings, and grounds are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and presentation.

You will provide essential support to all operating departments by ensuring engineering services are delivered efficiently and economically, while contributing to preventive maintenance, energy conservation, regulatory compliance, and the overall reliability of the hotel's facilities.

This role is ideal for a hands-on engineering leader with strong technical expertise, sound problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining an exceptional hotel environment for both guests and associates.

• Due to work permit restrictions, this position is open only for Malaysian Citizen and Permanent Resident of Malaysia.
• A university degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Management, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• Work experience as an Assistant Director of Engineering, Engineering Manager, or in a similar leadership capacity, preferably within an international luxury hotel environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of hotel engineering operations, preventive maintenance, building systems, and equipment management.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to respond effectively to operational and technical challenges.
• Good administrative, organizational, and planning skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and lead an engineering team.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and maintaining high operational standards.
