Assistant Estimation Manager/ Estimation Manager - Selangor

Industry/ Specialization: Engineering, modular fabrication, and manufacturing for the oil & gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, fine chemical, and new energy sectors

Position: Assistant Estimation Manager/ Estimation Manager

Work Location: Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Working Hours: Mon–Fri, 7:30AM–5:00PM

Salary Package: RM7,500-12,000 (depends on experience)

Main Duties and Responsibility in Summary

Responsible for cost estimation and technical & commercial proposal preparation for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns and / or other pressurized or non-pressurized equipment according to client specification.

Responsibilities:

● Perform preliminary design calculations for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, etc

● Prepare preliminary equipment material specifications and material take offs.

● Perform computation of project cost estimate for tender submission

● Inquiry for preliminary quotation for materials, etc to support pricing

● Prepare technical and commercial proposals per clients RFQ or ITB

● Responsible to clarification proposals and/or negotiations as required

● Work closely with Project Management, Procurement, Engineering Design, Production & QA/QC

● Department to ensure all aspects in the scope of work required by client and offered by suppliers / sub-vendors are covered in the proposal and ensure that profit is well kept.

● Attend technical and commercial bid clarifications meeting from clients during the pre-award stage

● Prepare project budget prior to project kick off

● Gathering of ideas on latest technology, current market practices and cost updating through exchange of ideas with clients, sub-vendors or suppliers and sub-contractors.

● To guide junior estimator in computation of cost estimates and preparation of tender documents

● Ensure that all proposals have been duly approved by the Management according to the Limit of Authorities in the Company Policy prior to the proposal being relieved to clients.

● Any other relevant tasks or projects assigned by immediate superior or departmental head as and when required.

Requirements:

● Diploma/ Degree in Engineering

● Minimum 8 years or above relevant working experiences

● Preferably with oil, gas, petrochemical, refining, chemical, mineral processing and pharmaceutical industries relevant skills and knowledge
