Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Closing

  • Manage monthly financial closing process.
  • Review accounting entries and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts.
  • Produce Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflow reports.
  • Consolidate financial information across multiple entities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Cashflow Management

  • Prepare weekly and monthly cashflow forecasts.
  • Monitor liquidity and working capital.
  • Forecast payroll, rental, supplier and capital expenditure commitments.
  • Identify cashflow risks and propose mitigation measures.

Outlet Performance Analysis

  • Analyse outlet profitability and financial performance.
  • Monitor:
  • Revenue trends
  • Gross margins
  • Labour cost %
  • Rental cost %
  • Inventory cost %
  • Outlet contribution margins
  • Provide recommendations to improve profitability.

Revenue & Sales Controls

  • Review daily sales reconciliation reports.
  • Verify cash, card and e-wallet collections.
  • Investigate discrepancies and unusual transactions.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of revenue reporting.

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Review payment proposals and approvals.
  • Strengthen finance SOPs and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate annual audits, tax matters and statutory requirements.

Management Reporting

  • Prepare management dashboards and KPI reports.
  • Present financial insights and recommendations to Directors.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise Accounts Executive(s).
  • Review work quality and performance.
  • Train and develop finance team members.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, MICPA, or equivalent is preferred.
  • MIA membership is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
  • At least 1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience in retail, F&B, entertainment, franchise, or multi-outlet businesses is highly preferred.
  • Experience handling full sets of accounts and preparing management accounts independently.
  • Experience managing multiple legal entities and inter-company transactions is an advantage.
  • Experience liaising with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and external accountants.
