About The Role

An Assistant Finance Manager will be responsible for service delivery to agreed portfolio of clients in line with agreed client-specific service-level agreements.

What You'll Do

  • Key Client contact and ensuring delivery of all reporting for allocated client portfolio.
  • Prepare Prop Co and Holdco reporting and financial statements based on client requirements.
  • Prepare consolidation accounts as needed.
  • To provide bespoke financial analysis reporting as per client requirements e.g. cashflow reporting.
  • Perform review of property managers financial statements.
  • Perform review of financial statements and analysis prepared by accountants.
  • Preparation of VAT and Income Tax returns.
  • Supporting the team with financial analysis.
  • Preparation of annual standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Dividend / distribution calculations, coordination with client appointed tax advisor on approved distribution and management of cashflow process.
  • Responsible for compliance with current procedures to ensure SLAs and KPIs are met within agreed timeframe.
  • Support the business on onboarding of new clients/new portfolio from accounting perspective.
  • Highlighting potential process improvements and working with the Director of the team to implement.
  • Requirement to attend client meetings and internal meetings.
  • Responsible for coaching, developing and generally managing junior team members.
  • Admin support for example company secretary coordination.


What You'll Need

  • A professional qualification (e.g. ACCA or CPA Australia or equivalent) is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Focused on delivering solutions within agreed timeframes.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Positive attitude/outlook and flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to remain calm and in control when working under pressure.
  • Should have experience of preparing financial statements and accounting for transactions in according with IFRS.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Real Estate Accounting or Real Estate Fund Accounting.
  • External audit experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience in leading a team of accountants.
  • Experience of working in a business culture that promotes adherence to procedures and controls.
  • Excellent Computer Skills - Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, MS project)
