We are looking for Assistant Financial Controller.

As a Assistant Financial Controller, you will lead our Finance Department to ensure seamless operations and full compliance with all adopted policies, procedures, and Shangri-La standards. You will serve as a strategic guardian of the hotel's assets while fostering a culture of excellence and precision.

As a Assistant Financial Controller , we rely on you to

  • To manage the day to day operation of the Accounting office.
  • Responsibilities include financial analysis and financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting, audit and control, asset and liability reconciliation, working capital and cash control.

Work Activities

  • Generate and provide accurate and timely results.
  • Ensure that the P&L Accounts are accurate.
  • Submit reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines.
  • Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding budgeting and accounting policies and procedures and efficient control and utilization of financial resources.
  • Support a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations and profitability and manage business risks.
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure account balances are supported by appropriate documentation in accordance with SOPs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job-relevant issues, systems and processes.
  • Keep up to date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
  • Leverage centralized accounting processes and shared services.
  • Review audit issues and makes corrections as necessary.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Degree in Finance and Accounting or Professional Accounting Qualification.
  • Relevant working experience is required.
  • A motivator and a self-starter.
  • Commitment to professional values.
  • Good knowledge of personal computing.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Due to work permit restrictions, only citizens of Malaysia and Permanent Residents of Malaysia shall be considered.
