Job Description

Responsible in leading policy and development work under Core Digital Markets Department. This includes (i) developing policies for new products and digital marketplaces in the capital markets, (ii) review and enhance existing recognised market operator policies to strengthen trust and enable growth, (iii) analyse and develop market insights to formulate action plans, (iv) lead stakeholder engagements for policy development purposes and (v) oversee and review interventions for ecosystem growth (e.g. tax incentives, SARANA).

Main Accountabilities:

Lead the team on the following responsibilities in the department:

Policy development

  • Oversee research, policy formulation and drafting for private market and platform-based investments including ECF, P2P and Digital Investment Managers.
  • Supervise testing and policy development of participants in the sandbox testing exercise
  • Conduct regular review of existing policies to facilitate growth and evolution of digital investments, and develop policies for new products and digital marketplaces in the capital markets
  • Oversee industry data analysis to generate actional insights for ecosystem development
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and regulatory developments in regulated crowdfunding industry and adjacent private markets

Stakeholder engagement

  • Oversee engagements with relevant internal and external stakeholders in factfinding and developing relevant initiatives or policies
  • Explore interventions, collaboration with industry and/or public stakeholders to facilitate ecosystem growth.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of relevant data requests and reports

Ongoing development interventions

  • Oversee processing of ECF incentive claims
  • Oversee and review SARANA implementation

Leadership and Management

  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Facilitate coaching, training and timely feedback to team members.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
