About Our Client
This opportunity is with one of the largest conglomerates in Malaysia, having businesses in sectors such as Retail, Services, Property, and Hospitality. The company has an established Corporate Finance team overseeing the group's corporate activities, and is looking for an experienced corporate finance professional to join them as part of their growing team.
Job Description
- Evaluate and assess business proposals and strategic options, including feasibility studies, due diligence, financial restructuring, and financial modelling/forecasting.
- Develop and structure corporate proposals, and prepare supporting documentation such as board papers, announcements, press releases, and shareholder circulars. Identify key issues and provide practical solutions and recommendations.
- Provide guidance on regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and disclosure obligations.
- Review and validate compliance and accuracy of disclosures across presentation materials, legal documents, circulars, prospectuses, press releases, and regulatory submissions.
- Coordinate and maintain effective communication with external advisors, professional parties, and regulatory authorities.
The Successful Applicant
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or a professional qualification such as ACCA, MICPA, or CFA.
- 10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 4 years in corporate finance within an investment banking environment.
- Strong understanding of capital markets, securities regulations, and applicable guidelines issued by regulatory authorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across stakeholders.
