Functional (job responsibilities)
1. Strategic Product & Revenue Leadership
- Portfolio Growth: Lead the end-to-end development and management of high-yield mortgage product (Conventional and Islamic) to achieve business objectives and loan base growth, with Revenue Optimization: Develop and manage fee-income structures and anti-attrition strategies to protect
yields and minimize portfolio erosion caused by refinancing. - Value Chain Orchestration: Partner with sales and credit stakeholders to streamline the mortgage value chain, including submission, approval, acceptance, execution, and disbursement.
- Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all products, documentation, and pricing strategies strictly comply with BNM guidelines, ABM requirements, external and internal governance.
2. Digital Transformation & Operational Governance
- Strategic Digitalization: Represent the Mortgage business in critical digitalization and regulatory projects, such as e-Invoice, SST and BNM CCRIS enhancements.
- Technical Oversight: Define system requirements and lead UAT/Production health checks to ensure seamless system functionality and implementation
- Process Engineering: Formulate initiatives and action plans to improve productivity, reduce friction in loan disbursements, and elevate the customer journey.
- Partner Ecosystem Management: Direct the evaluation and empanelment of panel valuers and solicitors to ensure service quality and compliance.
3. Analytical Oversight & Risk Management
- Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze portfolio performance data to inform board pricing strategies andmanage government housing initiatives (e.g., SJKP).
- Credit & Pricing Authority: Manage board pricing issues and provide oversight for pricing deviations andthe creation of competitive pricing packages.
- Stakeholder Representation: Manage feedback and responses required by ABM and BNM within stipulated timelines.
4. People Leadership & Organizational Impact
- Performance Coaching: Coach and drive team productivity to derive strong results and achievedepartmental KPIs.
- Talent Development: Spearhead mentorship and knowledge transfer to build a high-performing teamcapable of meeting regulatory and business deadlines with precision.
- Advocacy & Resolution: Collaborate with Customer Advocacy units to resolve complex complaints anddevelop preventive strategies to improve service standards.
