Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing inventory levels, cycle counts, stock reconciliation and physical inventories to ensure accuracy and minimize shrinkage.
- Maintain and update inventory records in the ERP/WMS; ensure timely and accurate transaction posting (receipts, issues, transfers).
- Monitor stock movements, identify discrepancies and lead investigation and root-cause analysis to resolve variances.
- Generate regular inventory reports and KPIs (stock accuracy, days of inventory, slow/fast-moving items, obsolescence) and present findings to management.
- Support demand planning by providing inventory insights and coordinating with procurement and production to prevent stockouts or overstock.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures, bin/location management, labeling and FIFO/FEFO practices.
- Support cycle count programme: schedule counts, train count teams, reconcile results and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound activities with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely receiving, inspection and dispatch.
- Assist with supplier returns, claims and spare parts management as needed.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to optimize inventory turns, reduce holding costs and improve accuracy.
- Train and supervise junior inventory/warehouse staff; ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures.
- Support audits, stock take exercises and maintain documentation for internal/external review.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Inventory Management, Business or related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in inventory control or warehouse/inventory operations, preferably in manufacturing or logistics sectors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Good organizational, time-management and communication skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work under pressure to meet cycle count and reporting deadlines.
- Team player with the ability to train and supervise staff.
