Role Description The Assistant Manager, Agency Development is a full-time, on-site role based in Penang, Malaysia. This role is responsible for supporting the growth and performance of the agency force through structured development programs, performance monitoring, and relationship management. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with agency leaders to identify development needs, implementing training and engagement initiatives, and supporting recruitment and retention efforts. The role also involves tracking agency performance metrics, preparing reports and presentations, and ensuring alignment with company policies, compliance requirements, and strategic objectives. The Assistant Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance agency capabilities and contribute to achieving business targets.
Qualifications
- Human Resources (HR) and HR Management skills, with experience supporting people development and organizational initiatives.
- Employee Relations skills, including the ability to build strong working relationships with agency leaders and advisors.
- Performance Management expertise, such as setting performance indicators, monitoring results, and supporting improvement plans.
- Knowledge of HR Policies and compliance, with the ability to apply policies consistently and fairly.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
- Analytical skills and proficiency in using spreadsheets and presentation tools to track data and prepare reports.
- Experience in insurance or financial services, particularly in agency development or distribution management, is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
