We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marketing Brand & Communications Assistant Manager to drive an effective & innovative social media strategy and execute creative content across Boost ecosystem. This role is critical in enhancing our brand presence, social engagement, product awareness & education, and supporting our business objectives through effective social media campaigns & content. The ideal candidate should have a track record in social media management, an understanding of the financial industry, and market & social platform tools and trends.
Skills Required:
- Strategic thinking to develop plans based on industry's best practice, aligned with business strategy, goals and priorities. Ability to pivot and re-strategize when needed.
- Social Media Expertise - Deep technical knowledge of major social media platforms, including Meta (Facebook, Instagram), TikTok, and other actively used channels. Proven experience driving social media strategies with digital marketing expertise to achieve key business objectives.
- Critical & Creative Thinking - Strong critical and creative thinking skills to drive and elevate social media performance. Ability to dissect complex topics and present them in unique, engaging waysgoing beyond trendy content to weave compelling brand messaging and champion social pages. Able to craft unique marketing campaigns or strategies that are buzz-worthy or award-worthy for a long-lasting impression.
- Detail Oriented keen eye for brand to ensure brand guidelines & tonality are adhered.
- Analytical - Strong analytical skills with experience using social media analytics tools & platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Talkwalker, etc.)
- Written and verbal communication skills Excellence in English & Bahasa Malaysia with a knack for crafting compelling and persuasive content.
- Leadership/ Project Management Skills to manage internal and external stakeholders expectations and collaborate through strong teamwork (within or across departments) to produce quality work promptly.
- Independence & Problem-Solving Skills to be able to identify challenges and be resourceful to problem-solve them with collaborative discussions and minimal escalations.
- Customer Oriented Passion to put customers first in building communications related to products and features.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with our brand's goals, market trends, and target audience within approved budget, across Boost companies while continuously keeping abreast to platform & social media strategy updates.
- Content Creation: Oversee the creation of engaging, high-quality content tailored to various social media platforms, ensuring consistency with brand voice and messaging.
- Campaign Management: Strategize & plan, implement, and manage social media campaigns to drive brand awareness, product education, financial literacy, customer acquisition, and engagement.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor social media performance using analytics tools, track key metrics, and provide regular reports with actionable insights to optimize strategy and campaigns to key stakeholders.
- Community Engagement: Foster a positive online community by actively engaging with followers, addressing inquiries, and managing online reputation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, PR, and customer service to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with broader marketing efforts.
- Market Trends: Stay updated on the latest social media trends, marketing innovations, competitor movement and industry best practices to keep our strategies cutting-edge and effective.
- Compliance: Ensure all social media activities comply with industry regulations, legal requirements, and internal policies, particularly related to financial services.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications related to social media & digital marketing are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in social media marketing, with a focus on fintech or digital banking sector preferred.
