About the Job

Monitoring of key financial KPIs, driving budget adherence, identifying and bridging financial

gaps, and effectively communicating financial results to key stakeholders.

  • Monitor and Optimise Financial KPIs: Track and analyse financial performance indicators (e.g. NBEV, CSM, IFRS 17 NPAT, Total Comprehensive Income, Return on Equity etc.) to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Financial Gap Analysis: Identify variances between actuals and forecasts; develop and implement actionable plans to bridge financial gaps in collaboration with various departments.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Preparation, consolidation and analysis of budgets and forecasts; work closely with business teams to ensure assumptions are realistic and aligned with strategy.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular financial reports with clear insights and variance analysis. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial analysis presented.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present financial results, trends and strategic insights clearly and effectively to stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams. Tailor messaging to various stakeholder needs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements in financial planning and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and decision-making.
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends and regulatory developments to understand and assess its impact on organisation's financial results.
  • Assist Head of Department in any other assignments as and when required.

We are looking for people with

  • Degree in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Actuarial Studies.
  • Passed some Preliminary/ Intermediate actuarial exams in one of the actuarial associations recognised by BNM.
  • More than 3 years of actuarial related experience.
  • Good knowledge and experience in IFRS17 would be an advantage.
  • Inquisitive, critical thinking and a good problem solver.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure to meet timelines.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills.
  • Goal-orientated and resourceful.
  • Attention to detail while maintaining a clear overview of key issues.
  • Takes initiatives to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
