Job SummaryAs the Assistant Manager, Compliance, you will be the Compliance Architect responsible for safeguarding the organization's integrity. Reporting to the Head of Risk, Compliance & Sustainability, your primary mission is to build and implement a robust corporate compliance framework from the ground up, ensuring the Group adheres to the highest standards of governance and MACC regulatory requirements.
Job ResponsibilitiesFramework Establishment: Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of the Company's corporate compliance and integrity frameworks to ensure total alignment with the MACC Act and internal governance.
Integrity Leadership: Act as the internal subject matter expert on integrity matters, applying Certified Integrity Officer (CeIO) practices to drive preventive measures against corruption and misconduct.
Policy Development: Draft and refine comprehensive policies, procedures, and guidelines (e.g., Anti-Bribery, Whistleblowing, and Gift Policies) to establish a compliance-first culture.
Compliance Monitoring: Monitor adherence to statutory and regulatory obligations across the Group, identifying gaps and performing root cause analysis for any potential breaches.
Reporting & Governance: Prepare accurate compliance dashboards and high-level reports for Management and the Board to support informed oversight and decision-making.
Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities (MACC, local councils) and auditors, managing the submission of filings and coordinating responses to inspections.
Remediation Oversight: Track the implementation of corrective actions, ensuring that identified compliance issues are addressed in a timely and sustainable manner.
Awareness & Training: Design and facilitate internal briefings and integrity programs to strengthen organizational understanding of ethical standards and regulatory obligations.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field.
Professional Certification:Certified Integrity Officer (CeIO) is highly preferred; professional certifications like CGRC, ICA, or ICSA are an added advantage.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, governance, or audit, with a proven track record of establishing and operationalizing compliance frameworks.
Industry Background: Strong preference for candidates from Property Development, Construction, or GLC environments.
Technical Skills: Deep understanding of the MACC Act (specifically Section 17A), T.R.U.S.T principles, and corporate governance frameworks.
Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements to diverse audiences.
