About the Role
The objective of the CMDB Assistant Manager is to support creation and management of the Group-wide IT CMDB and managing AIA's IT CMDB processes and accuracy while mapping usage and reporting to AIA's IT Assets.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Managing the day-to-day activities of the process, including establishing priorities and work assignments
Tracking compliance to policies and procedures and resolving or escalating any compliance issues
Facilitating CM audits
Reviewing critical incident outage resolution results and responses and dispositions of failed changes due to issues related to the configuration management system (CMS)
Facilitating communication and engaging business and IT management to encourage CM efforts and value propositions.
Engaging with strategic projects to ensure configuration management can deliver the required CMS functionality within project timeframes.
Reviewing and approving all changes to the CMS infrastructure where applicable
Reviewing and approving significant IT infrastructure changes to ensure impacts to configuration management data are properly addressed.
Mentoring the organization of CM services, concepts, policies, and procedures
Chairing the configuration control board (CCB) and enacting changes as directed
Providing and approving all requirements, use cases, user stories, etc. to support new or improving CMS functionality.
Reviewing and approving all requests for the administrator log on credentials and access rights to the CMS infrastructure.
Reviewing and publishing configuration management reporting
Manage the process strategy and plan in collaboration with the Operational CMDB and Asset Managers
Identify, recognize and analyze potential CMDB/Asset management process issues from current and historical data.
Develop a road map to mature the CMDB/Asset management processes.
Research and propose process, policy, or technology recommendations to align with road map maturity model and strategy.
Prepare for and participate in control reviews and internal/external audit engagements.
Utilize ServiceNow to support all process management, reporting, and governance activities.
Prepare management reports for insight into process performance, adherence to policy and process, and CMDB/Asset management effectiveness.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Apply data health skills across the platform.
Work with the closely with Group CISO to ensure security and regulatory compliance for all deployed services and solutions to ensure AIA is fully protected and technology is properly controlled.
Building the process, execution and managing the process end to end. Liaising with all stakeholders internal and external group wide
Minimum Job Requirements:
Experience:
Strong background on the ServiceNow Platform and capabilities
Knowledgeable of industry practices and trends for CMDB and configuration management
Knowledgeable of cloud infrastructure environments
Proficient in data model design for CMDB, including the creation of relationships, data flows and conceptual and logical data models, data dictionaries
Proficient in Service-Now auto-discovery and knowledgeable of the platform's capabilities to interface with other complementary tools
Special skills:
