SENIOR EXECUTIVE / ASSISTANT MANAGER, CORPORATE COMMUNICATION

CITAGLOBAL BERHAD

JOB PURPOSE : To support and execute Citaglobal s diversified corporate communication strategies by leveraging technology-driven platforms to manage internal and external communications. The role is responsible for safeguarding the Group's corporate image, ensuring consistent and accurate messaging across all channels, and supporting stakeholder engagement, brand positioning, media relations, and corporate announcements, in alignment with the Group's strategic objectives and governance standards across all subsidiaries.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with the company's objectives and enhance public image.
  • Develop and execute internal communication plans to keep employees informed and engaged.
  • Create compelling content for various platforms including press releases, website, social media, and internal communications.
  • Prepare and distribute press releases, statements, and other materials as needed.
  • Uphold and promote the company's brand identity through consistent messaging and visual standards.
  • Plan and coordinate press conferences, corporate events, and other public relations activities.
  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and potential issues.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations or a related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in communication roles, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Demonstrate strong skills in writing, editing, speaking, listening, as well as creativity, strategic thinking, problem-solving and project management
  • Good knowledge of the industry and the media landscape and be able to adapt to changing situations and audiences.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of best practices for internal communications, including strategies for keeping employees informed, engaged and aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Understanding of brand identity and how to maintain consistency in messaging and visual presentation across all communication channels.
  • Familiarity with PR tactics such as event management, media outreach, thought leadership initiatives and community relations to enhance the company's visibility and reputation.

SKILL:

  • Strong understanding of media relations, crisis communication and content creation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and PR software is preferred.
  • Availability to work outside of regular business hours during crises or high-profile events.
