This role is responsible for the design, development and delivery of analytics work supporting all the functions within Group Compliance.
The Data Analyst will work with Group Compliance functions to identify opportunities to extract and utilize data more effectively for purposes of process re-engineering and to harness productivity within Compliance and other areas of the Bank.
To provide analytical recommendations in tandem with bank-wide strategic growth plans.
To know and understand business user data challenges and manage their expectations.
To generate insights in tandem with productivity of the bank across all LOBs.
To create and deploy propensity, segmentation, and other models for greater customer personalisation and prioritisation of resources.
To assess new data sources and analytical tools, enhance analytics capability for advanced analytics to detect new typologies and reduce false positives.
To create datadriven approaches for the purpose of generating new insights through new techniques, different datasets, and information visualisation.
Perform analysis to identify false positive alerts in collaboration with the Transactions Monitoring Unit.
Perform continuous analysis of alert volumes to ensure the transactions monitoring system works according to design.
Work on analytics support for other functions within Group Compliance (projects, Monitoring & Testing, Advisory, Transaction Monitoring).
To identify and escalate risks inherent in particular situations or transactions.
To assess, control, monitor, and report the impact of risksregulatory or financial.
Job Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Statistics/ Data Science
Minimum of 6 years of experience in the banking field, with at least 3 years in data analytics.
Proven track record of delivering impactful insights and recommendations based on data.
Familiarity with data visualization best practices and tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R is preferred.
Certification in relevant analytics tools or methodologies is a plus.
