Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and supporting management with insightful financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly financial closing, including preparation of financial statements and management reports to support decision-making.
- Oversee quarterly closing and reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and listing requirements.
- Strengthen financial reporting processes and ensure adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Lead annual budgeting, monitor financial performance and KPIs, and provide forecasts to support strategic planning.
- Coordinate year-end audits and corporate tax submissions, liaising with auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities.
- Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable laws and listing regulations.
- Support the Head of Department in leading and mentoring the finance team, providing guidance on financial planning and related matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a recognised professional accounting qualification.
- Membership with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) is preferred.
- Prior experience with Bursa Malaysia listing requirements is an advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, and Treasury, preferably within a public-listed company.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A proactive team player with the ability to lead, motivate, and drive team performance.
