Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting professional to oversee full sets of accounts and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The role involves managing month-end and year-end closing, overseeing core accounting functions, preparing financial and management reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will also support budgeting, cash flow management, audits, process improvements, and provide guidance to team members while contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance function.
Key Tasks
- Ensure timely, accurate month end and year end closing of accounts.
- Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e. accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, inter-company, etc.)
- Review and manage customers, vendors, inter-companies and bank reconciliation.
- Preparing cash flow forecasts and cash flow monitoring.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Responsible for costing reports, management reports, financial statements and PNL & BS schedules.
- Responsible for annual budgeting preparation and provide financial analysis as needed.
- Responsible for statutory compliance (i.e. annual statutory audit, corporation tax, deferred tax, filing of annual tax return, sales & service tax submission, etc)
- Ensure financial records are in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper filing of all correspondences/documentations and reports for audit purpose.
- Assist in new processes and system implementation when required.
- Revise and develop accounting procedures for the best accounting practice.
- Provide guidance to team members.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by superior.
Skills & Competencies:
- Minimum Degree in Accounting, Finance, Logistics or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Comfortable to work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to multitasks and work independently with minimum supervision.
- A team player
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Required to liaise with Mandarin speaking stakeholders from overseas, proficient in Mandarin will be beneficial.
