ROLE OVERVIEW:
Prepare SCSEA-BD monthly reports, support group reporting, verify BD purchases, manage CAPEX budget, forecast BD cash flow, and coordinate AOP/MTP docs, ensuring accurate financial insights.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
REPORTING, BUDGETING AND FORECAST
Responsible for preparation of monthly and quarterly reports for AHSEA within the stipulated deadlines:
- SCSEA Management Reports
- BD Balance Sheet Pack and supporting schedules
- Asahi Global Holdings (AGH) Consolidation Package/Diva/CRP Pack
- BD Monthly and Quarterly Cash Flow
- Prepare monthly intercompany reconciliation
Responsible for the preparation of BD budget and forecast:
- Departmental budget compilation
- BD budget and monthly forecast
- 4+2, 5+7 and 9+3 forecast, AGH format
OPERATIONAL
- Preparation of data for Etika sales analysis.
- Updating cash balance report for BD, Beverages group and Oversea companies on a weekly basis.
- Checking oversea payments (Vietnam and Indonesia companies) and arrange for signatories.
- Verifying BD payments uploaded by BDO into bank portals.
- BD petty cash fund management.
- Assist in banking related matters (opening bank accounts, apply online banking, etc. for SEA region)
- Issue intercompany invoices (cross charge of expenses paid on behalf, management fees expatriate car and accommodation rentals and royally charges).
- Assist in the purchasing matters, i.e. verification of Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order.
- Checking monthly staff claims in MyWave for financial accuracy.
- Assist cheque preparations for PTEM petty cash reimbursement.
- Disseminate monthly group foreign currency translation rate report.
- Manage BD outsourced Accounting Firm.
CAPEX MANAGEMENT
- Preparation of CAPEX tracking report to AGH
- Update and monitor fixed asset tracking report (Budget vs Actual utilized) and submit monthly CAPEX utilization report to AGH.
- Ensure fixed assets maintenance and assets tagging for BD is completed on a monthly basis.
AUDIT AND TAXATION
- To liaise with external auditor for year-end closing and ensure all supporting for audit purposes are maintained and shared on a timely manner.
- To assist in finalization of audited accounts and settle any audit issues.
- To provide provisional tax computation for SCSEA, including revision of tax estimation on a quarterly basis.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional qualification (e.g. CPA) is preferred
- 5 years of relevant working experience in accounting firms or multi-national companies with full set experience
- Hands-on experience of accounting systems and good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Familiar with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a strong plus
- Good knowledge of IFRS/local accounting requirements, Malaysia tax rules and regulations
- Experience with renewable energy business is preferred
- Ability to work independently, as well as with the Team and comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-pace environment
- Good analytical and communication skills are required, as well as advanced skills in stakeholder relations
- Good verbal and written proficiency in English and in the local language of administration are required as the role involves a high level of interaction with internal stakeholders
