Key Responsibilities
- Handle full set of accounts up to balance sheet preparation.
- Prepare and process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of accounting and administrative records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide accurate financial information.
- Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax agents on annual audits and tax matters.
- Provide support to the finance team on various accounting-related tasks.
- Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in handling full sets of accounts (regional exposure is an added advantage).
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong command of English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (Mandarin is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, including China-based logistics partners).
- High level of attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Strong data accuracy and a meticulous approach to data entry.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and coordinate effectively with stakeholders, including Heads of Department (HODs).
