Role Description The Assistant Manager Human Resources at BananaBro is a full-time, on-site role based in Kota Damansara. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and staff scheduling for restaurant teams. The position handles employee relations, assists in performance management processes, and supports training and development initiatives to ensure team members meet service and operational standards. The Assistant Manager Human Resources maintains accurate HR records, oversees compliance with company policies and local labor regulations, and collaborates with management to drive engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture. The role also contributes to HR reporting, payroll coordination support, and continuous improvement of HR processes aligned with BananaBro's service-focused values.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.
  • Ability to interpret and apply employment laws and regulations, with experience in policy implementation and compliance in a hospitality or F&B environment preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build trust with team members and collaborate with management across departments.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail in maintaining HR records, documentation, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in basic HR systems or HRIS, as well as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and comfort with using digital tools for HR processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain professional ethics and integrity.
  • Experience in training coordination, employee engagement initiatives, and supporting a customer-focused, service-oriented culture.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in HR roles.
  • Prior experience in hospitality, F&B, or retail operations is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Kota Damansara and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced restaurant environment.
