Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

  • To provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve the organisation's operations.
  • To evaluate the means of safeguarding assets and to verify the asset's existence.
  • To assess the established system to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, internal policies, directives and other requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carrying out audit assignments and reporting to the Internal Auditor-Head.
  • Assist in developing the audit programmes and system documentations.
  • Leading the audit team and supervising the work done by internal audit staff.
  • Reviewing the audit findings and make appropriate recommendations to overcome system or procedural weaknesses.
  • Presenting the audit findings and recommendations to the Management and key personnel.
  • Assisting the Internal Auditor-Head in preparation of audit reports to the Senior Management.
  • Conducting the staff appraisal and advising the Internal Auditor-Head on staff performance.
  • Conducting on the job trainings (OJT) for new internal audit staff.
  • Assisting the Internal Auditor-Head to interview and recruit new audit staff.
  • Assisting the Internal Auditor-Head to manage the departmental functions in his absence.
  • Assisting the Internal Auditor-Head to develop, review and update the Internal Audit Charter and Internal Audit Manual.
  • Assisting the Internal Auditor-Head to execute the Internal Audit Plan.
  • Performing special ad hoc management assignments, risk management functions and corporate governance processes.
  • Contribute to the achievement of departmental KPI.
  • Assisting the Risk Administrator on risk management and corporate governance matters.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree preferably in Accounting & Finance
  • At least 5 years of working experience in the related field
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead, train, guide and maintain good team work
  • Exhibits high degree of integrity by maintaining confidentiality of information
  • Possess the creative ability to deal with difficult situations
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good presentation and report writing skills
  • Good at planning and organising work
