Job Description

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for independently conducting and managing assigned investigation activities, supporting the Head of Section/ Head of Department in overseeing investigation matters, and ensuring timely resolution of reported cases in accordance with organisational policies, applicable laws, and professional standards. The Assistant Manager serves as an experienced investigator and key contributor within the Investigation Department, undertaking more complex investigations, coordinating cross-functional engagements, and developing capabilities required for future leadership responsibilities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct and manage assigned investigations and independent reviews to assess compliance with policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and governance standards within Prasarana Group entities.
  • Lead selected investigation assignments involving fraud, misconduct, integrity breaches, whistleblower disclosures, and other investigation-related matters.
  • Review, assess, and analyse complaints, whistleblower disclosures, intelligence information, and ad hoc cases to determine appropriate investigative actions.
  • Plan and execute investigation activities, including evidence gathering, interviews, analysis, documentation, and reporting.
  • Monitor the progress of assigned investigation cases and ensure timely completion of investigation activities and follow-up actions.
  • Review investigation working papers, interview notes, supporting documents, and evidence to ensure completeness and consistency prior to submission to the Head of Section.
  • Assist the Head of Department in tracking investigation outcomes, recurring issues, and implementation of agreed corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate and complete investigation records in accordance with departmental requirements and professional standards.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for assigned investigations and engage with relevant business units, management, and stakeholders to facilitate investigation activities.
  • Participate in meetings, interviews, and discussions with internal and external parties relating to investigation matters.
  • Lead the collection, management, analysis, and utilisation of intelligence information in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and codes of practice to facilitate fraud prevention, misconduct detection, and integrity management initiatives.
  • Contribute to investigation enhancement initiatives, process improvements, and capability-building programmes within the Investigation Department.
  • Monitor investigation trends, emerging risks, and recurring issues, and provide recommendations to strengthen investigation effectiveness and organisational controls.
  • Share technical knowledge and best practices with team members to support continuous professional development within the department.
  • Manage and safeguard all investigation information, intelligence, and case-related matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, confidentiality requirements, and professional ethical standards.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Head of Department and Group Chief Internal Audit Officer (GCIAO) in line with departmental objectives.

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree's in any field. Professional certification such as CFE, CeIO, CIA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
  • Minimum seven (7) years working experience with four (4) years relevant experience in investigation, audit, compliance, integrity, enforcement, governance, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of relevant Acts (Whistleblower, Industrial Relations, Penal Code & MACC Act).
  • Familiarity with investigation management and data analysis tools is an added advantage.
