RESPONSIBILITIES

Investment

• Review investment report provided by Fund Managers / review financial outputs by ClearWater system
• Prepare monthly Investment variance analysis, commentaries and limit checks
• Provide quarterly investment results with key risk assessment criteria to ERM.
• Handle half-yearly ABF dividend distribution
• Review monthly quarterly Investment reports to MSIG Asia
• Review monthly investment schedules & reconciliations
• Prepare 3-year Investment Plan and forecast with analysis and commentaries
• Prepare Competitive analysis for yearly Business Plan

Treasury

• Ensure efficient liquidity and treasury management
• Review daily cashflow liquidity and forecast report
• Review monthly (internal) and quarterly credit exposure report to MSIG Asia
• Review and manage in-house fixed deposits with the objective of maximising investment returns whilst adhering to MSIG Asia's credit exposure limits.
• Ensure timely performance of monthly interfund and interdivision settlements.
• Yearly assessment of credit exposure limits for each bank
• Handle all bank account opening / closure related matters
• Manage company's bank mandates including Board resolutions, yearly sanction review, KYC and so on.

Others

• Prepare presentation slides on Investment to support reporting team in compiling presentation deck to Board / MSIG Asia
• Handle yearly outsourcing assessment for service providers such as fund managers and banks
• Review and streamline work processes
• Assist in the implementation, updating and monitoring of financial and internal controls
• Assist in supervision of finance staff

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Accounting / Banking / Finance

OTHER INFORMATION

• Working experience in general insurance or accounting firm
• Adequate knowledge of insurance laws/guidelines and International Financial Reporting Standards
• Commercial understanding of the insurance business
• Appreciation of financial and internal controls, with the ability to balance requirements for internal control with efficiency.
• Ability to work in a fast pace & team environment
• Conversant with Microsoft Office, Word and Powerpoint
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good analytical and spreadsheet skills
