Job Title: Assistant Manager Network Services (Voice & Infrastructure)

Reporting To: Associate Director Network Services

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Experience Required: 6+ Years

Location: Group-wide role supporting Group Office and Local Business Units

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager Network Services to ensure the availability, stability, and performance of enterprise network and voice infrastructure across the organization.

The role focuses on governance, service management, and continuous improvement of outsourced network, infrastructure, and data center services, ensuring alignment with business priorities and service level commitments.

You will collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing network and voice solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Network Strategy & Governance

  • Contribute to enterprise network strategy, policies, processes, and standards.
  • Ensure outsourced network, infrastructure, and data center services align with organizational objectives.
  • Participate in incident management calls and provide technical guidance for network incidents.
  • Evaluate project deliverables and ensure alignment with technology standards and best practices.

Service Performance & Vendor Management

  • Monitor service delivery against SLAs, KPIs, and performance targets.
  • Work with vendors, suppliers, and managed service providers to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Provide solution assurance and design guidance for network initiatives.
  • Manage and supervise external contractors and service providers.

Voice & Network Infrastructure

  • Support enterprise voice platforms including:
  • PBX
  • VoIP
  • SIP
  • Cloud-based voice solutions
  • Participate in project rollout, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor capacity, performance, and operational risks in voice and network environments.
  • Implement best practices and governance frameworks for voice services.
  • Work closely with Network, Security, and Cloud teams to ensure stable and secure services.

Business Analysis & Solution Design

  • Review project specifications, enhancements, and incident requests.
  • Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to understand business outcomes and requirements.
  • Conduct impact analysis on business processes and IT systems.
  • Prepare User Requirement Documents (URD) and obtain stakeholder approvals.
  • Participate in solution design reviews and technical walk-throughs.
  • Lead IT sourcing activities, including RFP processes, vendor evaluations, negotiations, and contract execution.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify opportunities to improve network services and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor technology trends and evaluate new networking and voice technologies.
  • Work with business units to maximize business value from deployed network solutions.

Stakeholder Management

  • Communicate technical solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide advisory and consultation on network and voice services.
  • Ensure stakeholders understand the current and proposed network architecture.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Networking.
  • Hands-on experience in network design and system integration.
  • Experience working in outsourced IT service environments and vendor governance.

Technical Skills

Experience in one or more of the following voice/network technologies:

  • Cisco Voice Solutions
  • PBX Systems
  • VoIP / SIP
  • UCaaS Platforms
  • Microsoft Teams Voice
  • Audiocodes

Additional experience in:

  • Enterprise networking environments
  • Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure / AWS / Alibaba Cloud
  • Data center infrastructure
  • Network monitoring and performance management

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
