ABOUT THE JOB
The Assistant Manager, Network & Security (L2) is responsible for managing and supporting network and security infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance. This role oversees advanced technical troubleshooting, implementation of security policies, and proactive monitoring to maintain compliance and protect organizational assets. The position involves leading L2 support, coordinating incident resolution, and providing technical guidance to the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Network & Security Operations
- Perform initial troubleshooting steps to diagnose and resolve common network and security issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize network (including NSX) and security infrastructure for performance and resilience.
- Ensure compliance with corporate security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay informed about new threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices in network and security operations through training and self-study.
System Administration & Configuration
- Manage and maintain firewalls (Cisco NGFW, Palo Alto NGFW) including policy changes and upgrades.
- Administer SASE (Cisco) and Citrix WAF & Load Balancer.
- Configure and manage Aruba switches (core, distribution, and access layers).
Incident Management & Escalation
- Act as the point of escalation for support on network and security issues.
- Provide detailed incident reports, post-mortems, and implement preventive measures.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Utilize monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and Dynatrace to proactively detect and resolve issues.
- Generate regular health check and performance reports for management review.
Security Enforcement & Threat Management
- Implement security measures to protect network infrastructure.
- Coordinate vulnerability assessments, patch management, and antivirus protection. Ensure timely remediation of identified threats and vulnerabilities.
Documentation & Process Improvement
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for network configurations, processes, and incident handling.
- Develop and improve SOPs for operation teams to ensure efficient operations.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Cloud, Server, Security Operations) for integrated IT solutions.
CANDIDATE MUST HAVE
Degree in Communication/ IT/Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent

- Networking: Aruba Switching (core, distribution, access layers).
- Monitoring Tools: SolarWinds, Dynatrace.

- Certifications: CCNP (Security specialization preferred), Citrix certification advantageous.
