Job Purpose
Support the development and adoption of an Operational Excellence culture across business units by making continuous improvement practical, engaging and accessible through training, communications, employee engagement, and coaching of improvement teams using Kaizen, Lean, DMAIC and related OE methods.
Job Responsibilities
Key responsibilities & functions this role oversee:
- OE culture activation: Support initiatives that create awareness, interest and participation in Operational Excellence across business units through practical engagement activities, workshops, campaigns and success sharing.
- Training and learning experience: Support to design, coordinate and facilitate simple, engaging and practical OE learning sessions that help employees understand and apply Lean, DMAIC, problem solving, waste identification, process mapping and continuous improvement tools.
- Employee engagement and communications: Develop clear, relatable and inspiring communication materials that promote OE mindsets, explain improvement concepts, highlight success stories and encourage employees to contribute improvement ideas.
- Project coaching and enablement: Coach project owners and teams in applying structured improvement methods in a practical manner, helping them define problems, understand root causes, test solutions and demonstrate measurable outcomes.
- Improvement community support: Support the development of an internal improvement community by encouraging knowledge sharing, peer learning, recognition of good practices and consistent use of OE tools.
- OE materials and knowledge management: Maintain OE playbooks, training content, templates, project examples and communication materials so that improvement practices are easy to understand, easy to access and easy to apply.
- Adoption and impact tracking: Track participation, engagement, training feedback, project progress, adoption indicators and improvement benefits to demonstrate how OE culture-building activities translate into practical business impact.
- Cross-functional improvement projects: Lead or co-lead selected cross-functional improvement projects, within defined scope and with guidance from OE leadership, when required, applying OE methods to support stakeholder alignment, structured problem solving, implementation and measurable outcomes.

- OE engagement and awareness activities: Practical activities, campaigns and sharing sessions that increase employee awareness, interest and participation in Operational Excellence.
- OE learning sessions and materials: Simple, engaging and well-structured training sessions, workshop materials and learning aids that help employees apply OE concepts confidently.
- OE communications and success stories: Clear and relatable communication content that promotes improvement mindsets, recognises progress, shares success stories and encourages wider participation.
- Coached improvement teams: Project owners and teams supported to apply Lean, DMAIC or continuous improvement methods in a practical manner, with measurable outcomes and stronger improvement capability.
- Cross-functional improvement outcomes: Selected cross-functional projects supported, led or co-led to implementation within defined scope, with stakeholder alignment, structured problem solving and measurable benefits tracked.
- Accessible OE tools and references: Updated templates, playbooks, examples and reference materials that make OE methods easy to understand and apply across the organization.
Education/ Professional Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Economics, Statistics, Data Science or any related discipline
- Certification or training in Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, Kaizen, Design Thinking, Project Management or related improvement methodology will be an added advantage
Professional Experience
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Operational Excellence, continuous improvement, process improvement, business transformation, project management, change management, capability building, learning and development, or related roles
- Hands-on experience applying Lean, DMAIC, Kaizen or structured problem-solving methods to support measurable improvement results
- Experience in facilitating workshops, delivering training, creating communication materials, engaging stakeholders or coaching project teams will be an added advantage
- Enthusiastic, practical and people-oriented, with strong interest in making Operational Excellence engaging, accessible and relevant to employees across the organization
