  • Responsible for building and maintaining the hospital's cost accounting - the prices of patient billable service, packages and procedures in the hospital information system.

  • Maintain and update procedure charge codes, packages, and dictionaries communicate changes to relevant departments.

  • Perform regular reviews of existing pricing and costing to ensure alignment with business objectives and profitability targets.

  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to develop and maintain standard costs and cost drivers for hospital services.

  • Conduct comprehensive pricing and costing analysis, including pricing trends, and resource utilization (e.g., space, equipment).

  • Analyse pricing effectiveness vs business plans, ensure proposed pricing meets target margins.

  • Perform competitor analysis and price benchmarking against private hospitals.

  • Provide detailed, data-driven reports and dashboards to management and stakeholders on pricing and costing performance.

  • Support new service or project launches with pricing/cost-related insights.

  • Troubleshoot system issues raised by users and support enhancements through user acceptance testing.

  • Maintain cost accounting procedures and continuously improve tracking, reporting methods and process efficiency.

  • Lead and coordinate quarterly pricing committee meetings and contribute to hospital-wide pricing strategies.

  • Participate in digitalization and automation initiatives to improve cost accounting productivity and data accuracy.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements, assist with internal and external audits.

  • Provide financial insights to management and hospital staff as needed, perform additional duties to support the finance function and overall organizational goals.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or recognized professional accounting qualification or Chartered Accountant of Singapore.

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry with strong financial accounting background and experience in pricing and costing.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and ERP systems.

  • Able to work independently, meticulous, with strong analytical skills. Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.

  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate and relate to all levels of staff.

  • High attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in reporting and analysis.
