We are looking for a self-driven Assistant Manager, Sales & Events who can seamlessly transition from high-level sales pitching to hands-on on-site delivery. As a key player in the Star Media Group s Events Business Unit, you will own the end-to-end execution and revenue growth for our entire umbrella of market-leading products and prestigious award brands. This role is perfect for a self-driven professional who thrives on seeing a project through from the first pitch to the final tear-down.
What You'll Be Doing
- Generate & Close Leads: Take charge of reactive and proactive sales efforts, including cold calling and prospecting, to build a robust pipeline for our events.
- Strategic Sourcing: Research, contact, and negotiate with vendors, speakers, and partners to secure high-value deals for our event portfolio.
- Conceptualization: Independently develop ideas and create viable proposals for new revenue-generating exhibitions or projects.
- End-to-End Planning: Oversee the full management of events, including initial planning, cost analyses, and implementation of sales strategies.
- On-Site Execution: Personally manage all on-site event operations, ensuring excellence from initial set-up through to final tear-down.
Who We Are Looking For
- Experience: At least 7 years of related work experience in marketing, event management, corporate sponsorship, or advertising.
- Education: A Diploma or Degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or Mass Communication.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to develop strategies that achieve organizational goals.
- Traits: A bright, enthusiastic, and self-driven professional who is exceptionally resourceful.
