Job Description

We're looking for an Assistant Manager / Senior Executive - Group Purchasing. He or she will be responsible for supporting the Purchasing department in various functions within WCT Malls including procurement activities, supplier management and cost optimization across all malls.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Handling of tender/RQ, cost estimation & quantity measurement.
  • To understand the Purchase Requisition Form (RQ) and related requirements as raised by requestor.
  • Organize and attend tender interview, update and follow up interview progress to ensure timely award.
  • Preparation of tender documents to invite competitive tender.
  • Assisting in cost estimation.
  • To source and request the quotations from the right suppliers.
  • To vet through the quotations, prepare the comparison/analysis for supplier selection decision making.
  • To negotiate with selected suppliers and constantly strive for best purchase price while maintaining the highest level of quality, reliability and service.
  • To attend site visit and site meeting as and when required by management.
  • To prepare Purchase Order (PO) for approval.
  • Review contracts/agreements related to purchases of goods or services by working closely with legal department.
  • To update and maintain the Approved Supplier List and other Master Lists.
  • Keep track and update of project performance and deliveries.
  • To make recommendation and improvement of procurement processes and administrations.
  • To work closely with all other cross-functional departments to ensure smooth execution of purchasing activity.
  • Controlling purchases and ensure that purchase of Goods and services comply with the Company's purchasing policy and procedures.
  • To establish and maintain supplier relationships and monitor suppliers performance.
  • To propose for cost reduction strategies and effective supplier evaluation program.
  • To take up additional assignments given by the Management from time to time.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Business or relevant studies.
  • Must be able to communicate very well in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
  • At least 4-7 year(s) of working experience in similar capacity.
  • Good interpersonal and documentation skills.
  • Working experience in a shopping mall or hotel will be an added advantage.

We are looking for Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers.
