Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

-Operational Oversight:

  • Supervise and coordinate all activities on the designated shift, including safety, quality, productivity, yield/cost, people and output meet the set target
  • To ensure safety, health, and environmental compliance and welfare of the staff.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure they are running efficiently and according to established quality standards and allowable yield standard.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that arise during the shift. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) if unable to meet target.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, Quality, GMP and good housekeeping standards.
  • Strictly adhere to the ESH and FSQMS requirements and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement (CI) and kaizen mindset and activities in shopfloor.

-Maintenance Management:

  • Collaborate and work with maintenance team for keeping machinery and equipment in good working order.
  • Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to perform preventive maintenance and repairs as needed.

-Design new ways to use electrical power to develop or improve products such as electronic components, software, products, and systems.

  • Analyzing electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Planning and implementing research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.

-Team Leadership:

  • Train, mentor, and motivate shift employees, including operators and maintenance staff.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement among the team.
  • Responsible to manage and coordinate on the related shift - staff attendance and leave related matters. Plan relief in the absence of staff.

-Inventory and Resource Management:

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to maintain a smooth supply chain.
  • To control of production rejects, quarantine stocks and wastage
  • The control of expenses within allocated budget.

-Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to meet product specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues.
  • Take corrective actions to prevent deviations from quality standards

Part of internal auditor/auditee, safety committee etc

-Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of production output, maintenance activities, and any incidents or accidents that occur during the shift.
  • Prepare and submit shift reports to senior management as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in food manufacturing operations and maintenance.
  • Strong leadership management and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards (HACCP, FSSC, GMP, ISO)
  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and production software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
