Job Description
We are seeking a results-driven Assistant Manager – Trade Marketing to develop and execute trade marketing strategies, channel plans, and promotional activities to drive sales growth and strengthen brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Trade Marketing strategies and channel plans to support business objectives and achieve sales targets.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to execute brand campaigns, product launches, go-to-market plans, in-store activations, and promotional activities.
- Plan and implement trade promotions, channel initiatives, and shopper marketing activities with a focus on business growth and ROI.
- Analyze internal and external market data (e.g., Nielsen data, sales performance, market trends) to identify opportunities and provide actionable insights.
- Develop and coordinate Point-of-Sale Materials (POSM) and marketing collaterals with the Marketing team to ensure effective brand communication.
- Manage and track promotion calendars, campaign timelines, and execution plans across assigned channels.
- Work closely with Sales teams, retailers, distributors, and external agencies to ensure successful implementation of trade marketing activities.
- Monitor campaign performance, evaluate promotional effectiveness, and recommend improvements for future initiatives.
- Support preparation of sales presentations, trade proposals, business reviews, and marketing reports.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviour to support brand and channel growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Channel Marketing, Brand Management, Shopper Marketing, Sales Marketing, or related marketing roles.
- Experience in FMCG / Consumer Goods industry is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience in trade promotions, product launches, retail execution, POSM management, and go-to-market activities.
- Strong understanding of channel strategies, retail environment, customer engagement, and sales execution.
- Ability to analyze sales data, market insights, promotional results, and business performance.
- Experience working with sales teams, distributors, retailers, or modern trade channels.
- Strong communication, project management, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
