At AIA we've started an exciting movement to create a healthier, more sustainable future for everyone.If that interests you, read on.About the RoleTo lead a team of staff to handle Policy Servicing (POS) Underwriting and Claims Re-underwriting which are out sourced from SG AIA to OSS within the Service Level Agreement (SLA) signed with the business partner and to conduct Quality Review of cases completed by the underwriters.
- Responsible for assessing individual life insurance applications based on guidelines set for the issuance of AIA insurance policies.
Operations- a) Lead the team to deliver the agreed TAT & Quality as agreed with the business partners for underwriting related activities, particularly in POS Underwriting and Claims Re-underwriting.
- b) Process/Underwrite new business proposals according to the agreed Standard Operating Procedure and guideline whenever require by the superior.
- c) Provide coaching and regular updates to team members to ensure cases are cleared following the defined Standard Operating Procedures or latest guideline provided by the Business Partners.
- d) Constantly review team members performance and provide necessary guidance to team members for continuous improvement in productivity and quality, as well develop team members career progress.
- e) Process/underwrite cases are underwritten and approved according to the agreed Standard Operating Procedure and guidelines.
- f) Ensure cases are being processed accurately, with prudent risk assessment being performed and within the agreed TAT and Quality as documented in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the business partner.
- g) Promote prompt and accurate response to customer and business partner's enquiry.
- h) Maintains a good personal record of training in line with the training framework of OSS.
- i) Shows keenness to develop technical competency by improving underwriting authority.
Staff development & welfare.
- a) Provide regular updates and feedback to the team members on their Underwriting assessment and overall responsibilities for staff development.
- b) Constantly review development plans of the team members for continuous self-development.
- c) Promote and drive team members engagement and teamwork among the team members.
- d) Cultivate good customer services attitudes among the team members.

a) Perform other responsibilities and duties assigned by superior.
