Main Responsibilities
- Support and oversee marine and cargo operations of assigned Pressurised LPG vessels and other vessels as required.
- Closely monitor and follow up with vessels during critical operations, including cargo loading/discharging, grade changes, tank preparation, and STS operations, providing guidance where necessary.
- Support pre-vetting and PSC preparations, attend on board during vetting or cargo operations as needed.
- Assist in arranging SIRE / CDI inspections for assigned vessels and assist in maintaining approvals required by charterers, terminals, and Oil Majors.
- Plan corrective and preventive actions for vetting deficiencies with vessel masters, vessel managers, fleet manager and owners and submit responses to OCIMF and Oil Majors.
- Assist in the investigation of incidents, accidents, and operational issues when assigned by the Head of HSEQ and follow up on corrective actions.
- Support the continuous improvement of operational procedures and manuals related to LPG vessel operations.
- Assist in matters related to charter party requirements and operational communication with charterers when required.
- Ensure vessels operate safely, efficiently, and in an environmentally responsible manner in accordance with the ISM Code, Company SMS, and applicable international and industry regulations.
- Provide operational support to vessels to ensure compliance with flag state, port state, class, and charterer requirements.
- Support the implementation of management or owner-driven operational campaigns and safety initiatives across the fleet and monitor follow-up actions.
- During the absence of the Marine & HSEQ Manager, report to the nominated Back-up Manager as designated for all operation and HSEQ matters.
Can be assigned back-up Vessel Manager for 2-3 Vessels.
