Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially minded and proactive Merchandising Assistant Manager to support and lead end-to-end merchandising operations for ECCO Shoes across Singapore and Malaysia.
This role plays a critical part in driving sales performance, inventory efficiency, and product availability across concept stores, department stores, and digital channels. Working closely with Retail, Marketing/VM, and Digital teams, the incumbent will translate merchandising strategies into executable plans that support seasonal priorities and business growth targets.
Key Responsibilities :
Merchandising & Inventory Management
- Manage seasonal main order creation, monitor sales performance and sell-through, and drive timely actions to achieve sales targets.
- Execute and monitor product launch plans, ensuring timely stock delivery across channels.
- Generate replenishment and launch orders to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Conduct regular stock consolidation for in-season and aged merchandise.
- Optimize assortments by assessing store and door profiles to improve in-store performance.
- Manage inventory levels, SKU efficiency, and allocation to maintain healthy stock positions.
- Monitor key inventory KPIs including sell-through, obsolete stock, and stock holding, and take corrective actions when required.
- Develop and execute markdown strategies to clear aged inventory while protecting margins.
- Identify best and worst sellers to support immediate actions and future assortment planning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with Retail, Marketing/VM, and Digital teams on stock planning, campaigns, launches, and ad-hoc events.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of seasonal product training.
- Provide timely and accurate data to support budgeting and dynamic forecasting.
- Support the implementation of retail systems to enhance business processes and operational efficiency.
People & Process Excellence
- Drive continuous improvement by reviewing workflows and developing reports for operational excellence.
- Coach and develop team members to build capability and support career progression.
- Undertake ad-hoc duties as required to support overall business objectives.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in retail merchandising or a similar role, preferably within the fashion or footwear industry
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu are an added advantage
