Job Description

Job Purpose:

To coordinate and support engineering projects and service jobs from planning to closeout, ensuring smooth execution, timely delivery, and compliance with technical and regulatory requirements. This role also oversees the Technician team, ensuring effective resource allocation, performance management, and operational readiness. Serving as a foundational step toward a future Project Manager position, this role provides opportunities to develop leadership, technical coordination, and stakeholder management skills through hands-on involvement across CEMS, System Integration (Oil & Gas), and other industrial projects and services.

Project Planning & Execution

1.Manage all project costing, timelines, and deliverables.

2.Ensure each project is executed according to the agreed schedule, scope, and budget.

3.Coordinate internal project kick-off meetings with Sales, Engineering, and Service teams.

4.Participate in technical clarification meetings before project award.

Resource & Team Coordination

5.Supervise and manage thetechnicians, including work allocation, performance assessment, and skill development.

6.Work closely with the Service and Technical Manager for manpower planning and allocation.

7.Assist in managing daily project execution issues by collaborating across departments.

8.Coordinate site activities such as FAT, installation, and SAT, ensuring documentation is prepared accordingly.

9.Act as liaison between engineering, documentation, and site teams to keep project execution on track.

10.Plan and allocate technicians to assist in project execution during periods when they are available in the office.

11.Provide mentorship and training to junior Project Engineers and/or intern to enhance project management competencies.

Documentation & Reporting

12.Ensure all project documentation is submitted to clients on time and approved.

13.Work with the Document Controller to maintain organized records and ensure traceability.

14.Track and follow up on project milestones to ensure documentation is ready for handover and billing.

15.Assist in closing out projects by consolidating final documents and ensuring client satisfaction.

Stakeholder Management

16.Liaise with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

17.Manage variation orders (VO) and change requests when necessary.

18.Maintain open and professional communication with all project stakeholders.

Quality & Compliance

19.Ensure compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and internal procedures.

20.Monitor project activities to minimize punch lists and ensure timely closure.

21.Ensure safety requirements are integrated into project planning and execution.

Career Development & Progression

22.Proactively learn and apply project management principles with the goal of stepping into a Project Manager role.

23.Take ownership of assigned projects or project phases with increasing independence over time.
